Several months have passed since the dead began to walk. The first winter has taken its toll in more ways than one as humanity continues to struggle to survive. Not every threat to humanity comes form the undead as so many have discovered man's ability to sink into depravity with the absence of law and order. Time and again survivors have fought, run, and regrouped. Yet, there seems to be no respite, and as winter draws on...things become more and more difficult to endure.

The zombies have risen, the world has spiraled into chaos. Small pockets of survivors continue to struggle each day to survive. The best and worst of humanity fight the undead and themselves as they come to grips with a new, violent reality. See the world through Steve's eyes as he tries to balance the duties of leading a band of survivors while caring for a young, Hispanic orphan girl.

It has been months...Steve has seen the worst in himself...and others. Now, it seems that zombies aren't the only threat to the lives of his companions.
