It's the most wonderful time of the year! The happiest season of them all. This fantastical story chronicles the adventures of a young farm girl named Dorothy in the magical Land of Oz, after she, her pet dog Toto, and her home are all swept away from Kansas by a tornado. To get back to her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry in Kansas, she must follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to ask the Wonderful Wizard for help, something she couldn't do without the help of the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, and several other friends she meets along the way.

"Ozma of Oz: A Record of Her Adventures with Dorothy Gale of Kansas, the Yellow Hen, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, Tiktok, the Cowardly Lion and the Hungry Tiger; Besides Other Good People too Numerous to Mention Faithfully Recorded Herein" published on July 30, 1907, was the third book of L. Frank Baum's "Oz" series. It was the first in which Baum was clearly intending a series of "Oz" books.

A baby is found by wood nymphs in the forest of Burzee. They raise him as their own and give him the name Neclaus. When he grows up, Neclaus has to leave the forest so he makes a home for himself in the laughing valley of Hohaha, where he lives amongst humans for the first time. Everyone knows about Santa Claus of course and his wonderful trip around the world on the night before Christmas. But what about his early life? Where was he born? What was he like as a youth? How did he come to be such a wonderful toymaker? When did he start using the Reindeer? And, most importantly, how has he been able to live so very long?

Two children, Twinkle and Chubbins, are lost in the Great Forest when they encounter the evil tuxix. The tuxix casts a spell on Twinkle and Chubbins and turns them into little birds with their human ends. The bird-children meet Policeman Bluejay who shows them around the land of the birds and teaches them about the cruelty that can exist between humans and animals. Twinkle and Chubbins witness the cruelty of humans firsthand and find themselves in danger as well.
