Willkommen zurück bei der NC State University! Hier gibt es ein Chaos der Gefühle, gebrochene Herzen und Bad Boys zum Verlieben. Seit ich von zu Hause ausgezogen bin, fühle ich mich zum ersten Mal in meinem Leben richtig frei. Ich genieße mein neues Leben voll und ganz - mit ausschweifenden Partys, zu viel Alkohol und meiner verrückten WG. Alles könnte so unkompliziert sein, wenn der Typ von gegenüber nicht so verdammt attraktiv und zugleich unnahbar wäre. Seine Blicke signalisieren mir deutlich, dass ich ihm nicht zu nahe kommen soll.

Eigentlich hatte ich mich auf die Projektarbeit in meinem Fotografie-Kurs gefreut. Doch dann wurde mir ausgerechnet Blake Walden als Partner zugeteilt. Der mysteriöseste Typ am ganzen College. Blake ist genau die Sorte Mann, bei dem sämtliche Alarmglocken los schrillen. Vor dem dich alle deine Freunde warnen. This story includes the struggles of mental health, grief and loss, dysfunctional relationships, narcissistic parents, sexual assault, substance abuse, postpartum depression, and autoimmune disorders. It may be triggering to some. It shows the obstacles families overcome and is about abandonment. It shows the unconditional love between a mother and daughter. Despite all the hardships we faced, despite all odds against us, together we proved what the true definition of unconditional love is. It wasn't the prettiest, but to us, it was perfectly "imperfect".
