Fagan's father is the alpha of his pit...and he's sick, and only seems to be getting worse. The healer that comes to the viper pit every few weeks, can't seem to figure out why a shifter would be getting so ill, so Fagan goes to Purdy, looking for help. He didn't expect to find a human healer ready and willing to walk smack into the middle of a viper pit to help, but he's beginning to think Waters is either extremely brave or completely insane.

When my boyfriend breaks up with me because I'm overweight, I go to the one place I feel the most comfortable. Oddly enough, it's the gym I was basically raised in. Things have changed over the years, but the people inside are my family. Some of them literally. Baker reluctantly agrees to help me get in shape, and so begins the torture. Baker and I have always been close and though I've had a crush on him basically since I was floating around in amniotic fluid, I've always known he was off limits. I mean, come on.

Ragyn: I'm free. I don't know why my father has decided to let me off my tightly wielded leash when he has been so adamant about controlling my every move until now, but I wasn't going to argue, even if I do think it's too good to be true. He's going to change his mind eventually, so I'm going to enjoy my taste of freedom and spend as much time as demonly possible in the sun.

In junior high, I was that kid. You know the one. The one that was somehow always on the outside looking in. The one who never understood why people made it their life goal to find everything that was wrong with me. I was that kid that kids picked on to fit in with other kids. Somehow, that all changed when I moved to a different school and discovered my hardened personality and inability to trust anyone made me mysterious and cool to people who didn't previously know me.

I know there is more to Kross than most people see. I mean, it's not like I've been stalking the guy, but I may or may not have happened by all the places my hand-to-hand combat instructor goes. I might possibly have watched as he played with the kids at the daycare and helped at the animal shelter in his free time.
