Life is fundamentally all about the choices we make. Indeed change remains the only constant throughout our lives. Change is never something to be scared of; it will happen anyway, so now you can become attuned to these transformational moments in life and make them work for you! If you are going to be judged by others anyway, why not let it be for being a happily passionate and enthusiastic participator in life!

This is a concept poetry album with harmonic music and layered vocals. It all started with me wishing to explore the meaning of life and why we are here on this beautiful planet at this time. To achieve this, I took as a starting point inspiration from music. The intention became producing a book embodying some of the spirit of those paradigm shifting ambient concept albums created by the more esoterically inclined artists and bands over the decades.

What this book suggests are small 100% natural adjustments we can apply in mindset or daily habits resulting in a better experience of life for all of us. We can then avoid the negative side of stress, which of course if left unchecked can lead to its own issues relating to mental health or indeed serious physical illness. Often with the simplest of changes in routine or approach we can not only reduce the ability of stress to affect us, but also rather happily free ourselves from the stress of getting stressed in the first place.

Inspired and written about places I came to know while living in Cheshire for some fifteen years or on my trips back to visit the County. A walk around Chester Walls experiencing echoes of the past, exploring the leafy countryside, a cricket match in Prestbury and a night spent at the Edge in Alderley, finding seclusion amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life, a visit to Tatton one summer’s day, and poetic homages to the rich industrial history and natural beauty of Cheshire. Poetic stories of people above all else.

Pondering the question…How to be inspired? Meditating, dreaming. Mind works overtime looking for the answer. Information meltdown time. Taking a quiet moment…looking around seeing anewInspiration? It’s in every tree.... city life goes on…. and yet here we have nature. Nature still manifesting as the ultimate expression of art in motion. What could be more inspiring? I always see my stories as glimpses into moments of time, rather like seeds trapped in amber, windows offering a view into past events and places I have been.

The maternal side of my family hailed from Lancashire. This is a county I have come to know intimately over the decades, my first live poetry shows were right there in Lancashire and I actually lived within the Preston area when writing this collection. These tales have been inspired and written about places I have visited in the evocative Red Rose County and stories of my own Lancashire ancestors.
