Mormoderen var gået ned i sin forretning midt om natten for at overraske en tyv. Det var ikke lykkedes hende. Og nu lå hun der i kældertrappen – slået ihjel.

En sommereftermiddag gør nogle legende børn et uhyggeligt fund på en ukrudtbevokset grund i Esbjergs indre by: Under deres søgen efter tomme flasker opdager de nogle beklædningsgenstande, og da de vil kigge nøjere på dem, ser de noget stikke op af jorden lige ved siden af. Til deres rædsel finder de ud af, at det er de okkeklædte fødder af et menneske, der er gravet ned på stedet.

Mange forbrydelser har mere eller mindre deres udspring i overdreven spiritusindtagelse, hvilket også er tilfældet i den følgende beretning, hvor en meget ung mand var så tæt på at blive drabsmand, som man kan komme det, men hvor netop øl paradoksalt nok var den direkte årsag til, at han ikke blev det.

Søndag den 27. august 1995 kl. 17.30 var jeg i gang med at male paneler og dørkarme, da vagthavende var kørt en gummiged gennem muren til Statsfængslet i Vridsløselille, og at en 10-15 fanger var stukket af gennem hullet i muren.

Jeg vil ikke her komme ind på det rent tekniske i forbindelse med fingeraftryk, men blot nævne, at alle mennesker har individuelle fingeraftryk. Dette har i nogen udstrækning været kendt i tusinder af år, og allerede i det gamle Babylon brugtes fingeraftryk på lertavler som garanti mod forfalskninger.

’’Hela-sagen’’ er Danmarkshistoriens største hashsag, hvor efterforskningen strakte sig over halvandet år og resulterede i, at 5,5 tons hash til en anslået markedsværdi på 250 millioner kr., coasteren Hela, lystyachten Mary og flere kostbare gummibåde blev beslaglagt og 17 personer, alle danske statsborgere omkring 40-års alderen, blev anholdt og fængslet i et helt enestående tæt samarbejde mellem Narkotikaafdelingen i København, Politiets Aktionsstyrke, Toldvæsenet, Forsvarets Jæger- og Frømandskorps, samt ikke mindst de udsendte nordiske forbindelsesofficerer og narkopolitiet i Holland, Spanien og Portugal.
