J'ai écrit ce guide par amour profond des habitants et de la culture de ma merveilleuse ville. La Nouvelle-Orléans est pleine de contrastes, à la fois la ville la plus au nord des Caraïbes et la plus européenne d'Amérique. C'était l'une des plus riches, avec les habitants les plus pauvres. Le mélange des cultures est toujours présent aujourd'hui : ressortissants des Caraïbes, d'Afrique, d'Asie, d'Amérique et Indiens d'Amérique y vivent ensemble.
