Seit undenklicher Zeit sind sie unterwegs, um dereinst Andromeda zu erreichen, die Nachbargalaxie der Milchstraße. Das ist die Prophezeiung der Altvorderen, das eine Ziel, das die Menschen vereint. Doch schließlich passiert etwas, das gar nicht passieren kann: Die Reise wird unterbrochen, weil der Planet in den Orbit um ein unbekanntes Objekt eintritt. Es ist in keinem Teleskop sichtbar.

Mankind is putting Mother Earth at risk, with serious consequences. Their rescue lies in an ancient culture that arrived on the Australian continent many years before humans walked the Earth. They had come in craft made of light, which turned to crystal on contact with the Earth's atmosphere. Three crystal shards from these craft were removed, as they could be brought together if the need arose to protect Mother Earth. In a bid to conserve these crystals, they were concealed.
