I don’t normally deal with nasty ghosts, but when Nix needs help, I’m the only one qualified. His dragons are under attack, and it’s up to me to stop it. But Nix isn’t making it easy. He seems determined to hate me because I’m a necromancer, and he wants nothing to do with the attraction smoldering between us. This specter isn’t a random haunting, and it's connected to both Nix and me. We’re going to have to work together to defeat it, but if Nix finds out how I’m connected, any trust I’ve built with him will go up in smoke.

I told myself this, over and over, as I nursed him back to health. He is only a prisoner. He is still the enemy. But his dragon tongue has a way of getting under my skin.

One whiff of his scent, and I know Evan needs to belong to me. The divine omega is the precious son of the redcap dragons, but I need to make him mine. They’ll never allow it. His uncle guards him like a precious gem and they treat him like he’ll break under any stress. But he’s stronger than that. And I want to give him the world. But there’s no future for us.
