In order to release a reading of the Declaration of Independence in audiobook format, the original founding document written by Thomas Jefferson in 1776 and adopted by the second Continental Congress, it was necessary to also create a short book to go along with it. We felt it was worth the effort—early listeners of our audiobook presentation have been very favorable, so we felt it was a worthy venture.

The 21st century brought more plagues to mankind than any other time in history. Some were manufactured by man, others were acts of God. Even Mother Nature herself turned against the infestation known as man. Nearly 30 percent of the population was killed by new virus strains. Racial tensions flared and evolved into two civil wars.

The tribe had a far distance to travel and the undead weren't their only enemies. The hyena hunted them relentlessly, unscrupulous men wanted what they had, and even Mother Nature seemed to be against them. Even if they made it, could they put away their weapons, leave their animals behind and go back to school? Could they go back to being children or had they been too long in the wild?
