Intizar Hussain Saheb never got over the nostalgia of leaving Dehli. He was always deeply engrossed in the memories of Delhi, its culture, its wonderful people and its magical beauty. He vividly displays all of these emotions of his in the biography he has penned down on Masih ul Mulk Hakeem Ajmal Khan Saheb, who was born and raised in a family known as Khandan e Shareefi.

The world's first and longest magical fantasy HOSHRUBA (1883-1893) was compiled in the Urdu language in Lucknow by two of its greatest story-tellers, Syed Muhammad Husain Jah and Ahmed Husain Qamar, wrote a fantasy in the Urdu language whose equal had not been heard before, and which has never been rivaled since. It was called Tilism-e Hoshruba. The writers claimed that the tale had been passed down to them from storytellers going back centuries: It was a part of the beloved oral epic, The Adventures of Amir Hamza which had come to the Indian subcontinent via Persia.

Asad Muhammad Khan was born in Bhopal, India, in 1932. He now lives in Karachi, has written a number of television plays, and published five collections of short stories to date. Taaoos Chaman Ki Myna is an award-winning short story written by Naiyer Masud, an Urdu writer from Lucknow. The story is set in Lucknow during the mid-1800s. Wajid Ali Shah, the Nawab of Awadh, has a large cage full of beautiful mynahs in his garden in Qaisar Bagh. Kaley Khan is a poor employee in the Nawab's garden. The story follows the plight of Kaley Khan and his family, and specifically what happens when he steals one of the mynahs for his daughter, who has long been asking for one.
