The Bible is true when it says the borrower is the slave to the lender. When you are in debt it seems you don't have a life! I remember a time I was in debt to the tune of about $500,000! Today I have only 2% left (I know that too will vanish like the rest) - God is good. Ninety-nine percent of that debt was simply cancelled. Yes the process of coming out was painful, and yes it was not a walk in the park, but the word of God that He wants us to be lenders and not borrowers is true and He works to bring this to pass in Christ Jesus.

There is a huge industry built around the subject of "Generational Curse" that continues to hold the New Testament Believer in bondage. The basic tenant of this teaching say that, "The reason why you are not financially successful or able to have children or in some kind of recurring problem is that God is punishing you for the sins your parents or great-grandparents committed."

When I first got saved I used to think, "If God had planned everything why should I bother to plan? If everything that happens is according to God’s will and purposes why should I bother to even think of planning?" That kind of thinking has many problems. Number one: Whilst God is sovereign not everything that happens on Earth is according to his will. That is one of the reasons we pray saying "let your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven." If God's will is always done on Earth we don't need to pray that prayer. Do we?

Paul was right when he said that the love of God compelled his actions. Over many years the human race has been fascinated with the subject of "Angels". Just the week of writing this book the radio in the restaurant was playing the song "I Believe in Angels". Whilst it is the wrong chorus, since we are not told to believe in angels but in God, it shows the quest of man to unravel the mystery surrounding the subject.

We need to understand that depression is not of God; depression is of the devil.
