What was the mother thinking when she decided to abort her baby? What was the mother thinking after she had aborted her baby? Why focus on the mother who aborted her baby? Although most of the emphasis is usually on the unborn baby, the victim of the abortion, the issue begins with the unborn baby’s mother. There would be no abortion without a pregnant mother. If there is to be a decision not to abort the unborn baby and to carry the baby to term, the pregnant mother will be the one to make that decision. The unborn baby can’t make the decision.

Scripture reveals that since the Jesus follower is indwelt by the Holy Spirit, they have been given a renewed mind. As new creatures in Christ, the Jesus follower have a new capacity for thinking. They begin to thinking biblically. They begin to obeying the teachings of Scripture. They find a need to reject and abandon the old ways of thinking and replace them with new ways of thinking.

In this audiobook adventure, I go exploring in the book of Proverbs. I conducted five topical explorations: the fool, the liar, the hater, the ruler, and the teachable person. I simply recorded the verses for each topic in the order they appeared in Proverbs. I have resisted the temptation to comment and just let the verse speak for itself. I found it fascinating to simply listen to the verses one after another. I think you will too. As you listen be sure to reflect on events, situations, and attitudes in the news you read or hear.

Regeneration speaks of a recreation or being created again. This term describes what happens when a person is born again and becomes a believer and a Jesus follower. Scripture teaches that when a person becomes a believer, they become a new creation.

How we all long for peace! Peace of mind. No more conflict. No more confusion. No more uncertainty. Just peace and rest. Maybe just peace of quiet and silence. God offers a Jesus follower peace. He offers it in many ways. The Lord also offers a peace that passes understanding. Join me in exploring. The Jesus follower can stand fast, can stand firm. Standing firm takes courage. The things to stand firm for are important to the Jesus follower and to the Lord. Explore these things for which to stand firm found in Scripture.
