On finding the “original man” within yourself, says Osho, you will find everything worth discovering. In these talks, Osho traces Zen from its early days with Bodhidharma in China through a succession of masters and poets. He tells anecdotes about the Zen masters, showing how their seemingly absurd statements and actions are actually devices to jolt people out of their spiritual sleep. And he asks you not to take his word for it, but to experience it for yourself - these talks are not about Zen, they are Zen.

In Zen, Zest, Zip, Zap and Zing, Osho responds to questions on love, freedom, morality, women’s role in society, nostalgia, a child’s right to privacy, the purpose of life, and more. Again and again he nudges the listener back to the essential: Zen – awareness, being here and now. While responding to the concerns of the questioners, Osho also illustrates how nonessential their preoccupations are.

There is a famous Zen story about a disciple, Riko, who once asked his master, Nansen, to explain to him the old Zen koan of the goose in the bottle. Namely, if a man puts a gosling into a bottle and feeds the gosling through the bottle's neck until it grows and becomes a goose - and then there is simply no more room inside the bottle - how can the man get it out without killing the goose or breaking the bottle? In response, Nansen shouts, "Riko!" and gives a great clap with his hands.

As the ultimate optimist, Osho starts a series “The Golden Future” in which he addresses in forty talks, the concerns and questions of his audience. “The Golden Future” – Part 3 includes talks #21 to #30 in this series. Wisdom, says Buddha, arises from within, and is the only true knowledge. In The Dhammapada Osho speaks on wisdom, which he calls knowing, and on the difference between knowing and knowledge. Knowing, he says, is spontaneous response: it comes from inner silence, it is our own truth, an existential experience. Knowledge is dependent on the past, it is mechanical, it is second-hand, it comes from another, and hides the truth from ourselves. Knowing gives us inner direction; knowledge only outer direction. And the key to the intuitive faculty of knowing is meditation.

Zen is not a theology, it is a unique phenomenon. Not easy to understand for a Western mind. Most religions exist around the concept of God. For Zen, the individual human is the goal - an end unto himself. So there is no concept of God in Zen. Certainly those who have been brought up as Christians, Muslims, Hindus, or Jews, cannot conceive of what sort of religion Zen is. If there is no God, then it becomes atheism. It is not; it is theism to the very core - but without God. This is the first fundamental to be understood. Let it sink deep within you, then things will become clear.

These talks are answers to personal questions from seekers that touch on a wide variety of fundamental life issues. This is an enlightened being's profound, loving and, at times, humorous response to them. Amongst the many subjects covered, Osho speaks on parents and children, trust and surrender, love and jealousy, sex and pornography; play and creativity, desirelessness, enlightenment and the belief in God.

Taoism is a Chinese philosophy based on the writings of the Chinese mystic Lao Tzu. There are many sacred writings and different teachers of Taoism. Taoists focus on living a simple and balanced life in harmony with nature. This is one of the most important principles in Taoism. This series of talks by Osho is based on a famous work The Classic of Purity by the Taoist mystic Ko Hsuan.

Yah ek prashnottari hai jisme Osho sadhako ke prashno ke uttar dete hain. Prashna vyaktigat jeevan ke sambamdh me hain. Inke uttar me Osho apana najariya rakhate hain ki jeevan ko ek utsav ki tarah jiyo, bojh ki tarah nahi. Anand dhyaniyo ki jati honi chahiye, hanste khelte jeeyo. Anand hai atma- anubhav, utsav hai us anubhav ke liye astitva ko dhanyavad. Jo dhyan ki aankh kholenge unake liye poora jeevan utsavmaya hoga.

Osho describes love as transformation. It is painful because it transforms and transformation is going to be painful because the old has to be left for the new. While the old is familiar, secure, safe, the new is absolutely unknown. With love we will be moving in an uncharted ocean.

These teachings explore different aspects of human unawareness and emphasize Buddha's key message of raising our consciousness. Compiled by Buddha's disciples, these sutras capture the essence of his wisdom.

The child needs your love, not your help. The child needs nourishment, support, but not your help. Every way to help a child is wrong. The very idea of helping is not right. The natural potential of the child is unknown, so there is no way to help him rightly to attain to his natural potential. You cannot help when the goal is unknown; all that you can do is not interfere. And in fact, in the name of help everybody is interfering with everybody else; and because the name is beautiful, nobody objects.

In this age of information overload, it’s refreshing to come upon a unique voice. Osho speaks directly to you - he is speaking the truth. Osho calls Sufism a core source of wisdom in the world. Osho explains that these sutras are concerned with aspects of man's unawareness and that Buddha's whole message is concerned with the raising of our consciousness. These sutras were compiled by Buddha's disciples to contain the essence of all his teachings. This was the last turning of the Wheel of Dharma, 2,500 years ago. At the beginning of his commentaries on these sutras, Osho says he is setting the Wheel of Dharma in motion again.

Through the verses of the New Testament Gospels, Osho brings the teachings of Jesus to life, calling him a poet. "Jesus became a great milestone in the history of consciousness. It is not just coincidental that Jesus' birth has become the most important date in history. Before Christ, one world; after Christ, a totally different world has existed - a demarcation in the consciousness of man." (Osho)
