The Neanderthals Return combines the beginnings of three separate books in the return of the Neanderthal series - The Neanderthals Are Back, The New World Neanderthals: The Rise of the Force, and The Rise of the Gang. These will ultimately be three separate books with 10 or more additional chapters in each book. Each chapter features a complete episode as in a TV series, featuring a group of Neanderthals, and each book builds on the previous book in the series.

Davy is having a bad day at school and home, when he wishes that things could be the way he wants them. Suddenly, he hears a thumping noise in his closet, and there he meets two tiny characters: Count DeVille, who looks like a frog-man in a cape, and Sir Tolliver, a man with a mustache, red cape, and bloomers. They lead him through a door in the back of the closet to the World of Whatever. There, he experiences a series of adventures, both fun and sometimes scary, as he travels around on a boat or bubble with Sir Tolliver and Count Deville.

The audiobook begins after the leader of a criminal gang learns from the media about the success of a team of Neanderthals who are helping the cops find and capture criminals. He decides to create a criminal gang of six Neanderthals by obtaining Neanderthals who have been raised to be part of a workforce by the same robot company that provided the cops with their team. The gang leader and his associate will then train these new recruits to commit crimes, such as robberies and hits for revenge.

In Garden Grove, everything is very calm and peaceful, and the spirits of the earth: Grunch, Ruff, and Rocky; air: Swifty and Pinwheel, and water: Muff and Wiz are very happy. And sometimes, Archie and Sparky, who live in the flames and embers, visit when someone lights a fire. Then, a logger and an oilman arrive and disrupt the grove when the logger begins sawing to cut down trees and the oilman drills for oil. But the spirits seek to drive them out.

All My Neanderthals: An Introduction to a Series of Neanderthal Books features excerpts from the first two books in a fiction series: The Neanderthals Are Back and The New World Neanderthals. Suddenly, he meets Sir Stephen, who looks like a court jester, and his cat Cindy. Nick’s computer avatar follows them as they lead him to a magical place with all kinds of beings who live beyond a red and a green door, respectively. He also meets some scary challenges and learns about the worlds of "I can" and "I can’t".

Who Are the Neanderthals, Really? consists of a collection of illustrations and commentary about Neanderthals from Paleolithic times to today. After an introduction describing how and where Neanderthals lived, the book features about 100 illustrations divided into five sections. Each section of photos and illustrations is introduced with some commentary. These images present an intriguing picture of the Neanderthals from paleontologists, anthropologists, historians, social commentators, and artists.
