We're not seeking to win one nightly. If that were the case, this book would be titled Winning the Nightly. We want more than that. We want to conquer. For those who don't know, I win a lot of nightlys. I'm going to share my secrets with you.

Here, it was almost inevitable that this subject would attract the interest of H.G Wells in the batch of sci-fi novels that he wrote between 1895 and 1901. In Well's story, the vehicle is not a balloon, as in many of the previous accounts, but a sphere made of a mysterious substance, named "cavorite" after its inventor, Cavor, who accompanies the narrator, Bedford, on the trek to the moon. The ascent is made possible by the fact the "cavorite" is, in Well's words, "transparent to gravity."

Camilla Rivers has left her life and love behind to keep herself safe and save Nick Ludlow from torturous worry. Between 1895 and 1901 H. G. Wells wrote six science fiction novels, which have become among the most celebrated examples of the genre. In this collection, Wells explores a number of topics that have since become very common subjects in science fiction, including time travel, celestial beings, eugenics, alien invasion, and space exploration.

She makes plans with Ozma to bring her aunt and uncle to Oz where they may live happily ever after. Unbeknownst to Ozma and our friends in Oz, the Nome King is plotting to take over the Land of Oz and retrieve his magic belt that Dorothy took from him in book 3, Ozma of Oz.

Camilla and Nick fall hard. She's finally ready to find love. He is not expecting to. Nick's enemy has been threatening him for a while now. And now that he has Camilla, he's concerned for her safety. He reveals to her the truth of things, but she stays at his side against his better judgement. But when the threats become too much, Camilla gives him an ultimatum. Either he reaches out to his estranged family for help with the matter or she can't do this.

Kate doesn't know what to expect when Simon crashes her family vacation. She hasn't seen or heard from her childhood love since he and his family's sudden departure years before, leaving Kate completely confused and devastated. Simon's return has reopened the wounds of heartbreak. As Kate cautiously lets Simon in again, she finds out all sorts of secrets which led to their parting. Being in familiar places takes Kate back, as she relives the memories of her childhood sweetheart and finds that even as a grown woman, she just might not be over him.

While playing outside on the farm in Kansas, Dorothy, and Toto happen upon the Shaggy Man, who asks for directions to Butterfield. The pair is happy to show him the way, but the road splits into seven different paths and Dorothy is unsure which is the correct choice. After some debate, the group decides to take the seventh path where they run into an adorable little boy named Button Bright who cannot seem to stop getting lost. Further down the road, they encounter Polychrome, who is the daughter of the Rainbow.
