Tolstoy's literal interpretation of the teachings of Jesus, centering on the Sermon on the Mount, caused him in later life to become a fervent Christian anarchist and anarcho-pacifist. Father Sergius is a short story by Leo Tolstoy and was published in 1911. It tells the story of a young prince - known as Stepan Kasatsky - who becomes a priest. Anna Karenina is a novel by the Russian author Leo Tolstoy, first published in book form in 1878.
