A Murder at the Morrisey Mystery

For as long as Meg Dawson can remember, she’s been able to see ghosts. As much as Meg views it as a gift, she’s paid a price her ability; people often find her odd and quiet. Still, she wouldn’t trade her capabilities for anything because they brought her Ripley, her best friend. Having died in the car accident that killed Meg’s mom, Ripley sees it as her duty-after-death to watch over Meg and make sure she has a happy life.

Meg Dawson and the rest of the Morrisey residents can’t handle anymore surprises in their beloved downtown Seattle apartment building. So, when Meg finds a secret staircase leading down to the famous Seattle Underground, she’s tempted to turn back. The area was supposed to be closed off long ago. But turning back isn’t so easy when she stumbles on not one, but two bodies in the hidden space. And even though the two deaths are separated by a century, the victims have more in common than Meg first realizes.

After two murders on the premises, the manager of the Morrisey has cracked down on who has access to the building, buying the residents a few months of peace. But the increased security hasn’t made them immune to porch pirates. Packages are disappearing almost as soon as they’re delivered. The joke is on the thief when one of the packages contains poisoned truffles, and they consume what was meant for someone else. Another body in the Morrisey puts a damper on the upcoming holiday season.

Meg Dawson’s world is turned upside down when her Aunt Penny makes a surprise appearance at the Seattle apartment building she once called home. But hidden within the true reason behind Penny's visit is a mystery that could rock the very foundations of the Morrisey community. During her visit, Penny breathes new life into the beloved Morrisey Masterpiece Classic, an annual building scavenger hunt. Tensions soar and rivalries ignite among the residents, including between Meg and Laurie.
