Aurora Ares, owner of a bar that caters to paranormals, is content with her life. When children start to go missing in a small Midwest town, it looks like magic is to blame. With the paranormal world in political turmoil, it falls to Aurora to save the children. The problem is, she's a rogue vampire without the support of a coven. Logan Wayne, who deals with powerful artifacts of magic, might be the best person to help, but his priorities are questionable at best.

Aurora Ares has barely returned to her normal routine when she gets a call from Lilly. This time, it is Lilly's mother who is in danger. Once again, Aurora travels to the small Midwest town to investigate. When a new threat begins killing people in strange and gruesome ways, Aurora and Logan have to team up again to solve this sinister mystery.
