After an unidentified body is found at a temple, arranged to resemble a Greek myth, officers Michail Mikras and Katerina Galanis are assigned to the case. Amid growing media coverage, a group calling itself The Awakening puts out ominous social media posts, claiming that this crime proves the goddess Athena has returned to “cleanse” the city of Athens. With each new corpse, the mania grows. As raucous rallies spring up throughout the city, the team of investigators must solve the case to break the spell before an unimaginable horror comes to pass…

On the island of Aegina, a body’s been found on the beach. The Special Violent Crime Squad is brought in to investigate. The cause of death is drowning, but the circumstances are cause for alarm. As bodies begin to pile up, there’s a growing number of suspects. The motive becomes increasingly difficult to determine, but it seems to be rooted in ancient mythology . . .
