Ten years after the bloody events of season one, the Kingdom of Awadh is now being ruled by an iron hand by Maharani Sukanya. It's an uneasy peace she has fostered, which has led to minor rebellions in remote parts of her kingdom. The absence of the magical forces of Mayawar hasn't gone unnoticed by Sukanya's enemies. Awadhpuri Palace is torn from the inside, and loyalties continue to shift.

On a warm summer night, in Samrat Prem Singh’s absence, his pet tiger, Vanraj, is found murdered in the grounds of the Awadhpuri Palace. It falls on Rani Sukanya’s shoulders to investigate the brutal murder. With a toddler to take care of, a murder to investigate and a sister-in-law to welcome, Rani Sukanya needs trustworthy allies by her side. She seeks the help of the Mayawar Guild—the crown’s Guild of Sorcerers—to investigate the murder of the tiger. However, the Guild is busy investigating a theft of their own.
