Kingdom of Denall

For centuries, young men in their 18th year have been sent away from the small village of Dungan for a year-long exile as they begin their journey into manhood. This traditional exile, the Troven, was instituted so that young men may find themselves, find their purpose, and find their place in the world. When Kaz Kinsley and his three friends leave to begin their Troven, all they have on their minds is getting to the first sign of civilization and finding a way to survive on their own.

The powerful Baron Omer has been secretly maintaining a slave village under the nose of the king for years. The wealth and political clout he has built for himself have made his sprawling castle complex, known simply as The Keep, the most formidable power center on Denall outside the capitol city. Omer has also been searching for the Stones of Power, using any means necessary to track them down - even striking a deal with the evil sorcerer Mordyar and his stone seekers.

Five out of six of the Stones of Power have been identified, and are held by individuals who have been drawn together by fate as they each seek to protect the Kingdom of Denall from evil within and threats from without. Now, as the stone holders scatter across Denall in their efforts to track down Mordyar's supporters and defend their island nation from invasion, the mystery of the Changing continues to loom.
