Knights Are Forever

In 1066, the Normans brutally defeated the Saxons and William the Conqueror was crowned the King of England. Even though their country now belonged to William, the Saxons continued to rebel against his rule. But they were no match for the seasoned Norman knights who ruthlessly put down the rebellions. Against his wishes, Calder Wyndym, one of the king’s most valued knights, becomes Overlord of a small village in the North.

Almost two decades have passed since Regan and Calder’s saga began in If Not for the Knight. The Normans and the Saxons now co-exist, if not happily, at least peacefully. But dark clouds are forming and danger is coming for them once again. The Wyndym children are fast becoming adults and are following their own paths towards the future, some of those destinations will take them far from home and from the loving arms of their family.

Beorn Wyndym is more than ready to don his armour and pick up his broadsword once again, this time to help protect the Pope from King Henry V. Until that challenge comes in the form of a beautiful gypsy that completely enchants and captivates him. Struggling to deny his feelings for her, Beorn finds himself fighting a losing battle where she is concerned. If he survives his adversaries, will Beorn have the courage to let the spirited gypsy into his heart? Or will he turn her away and settle for a life that is as barren and bleak as the winter landscape that surrounds them?
