My Solar-Powered History

There's something you should know about my dad. He's always inventing! When I asked him why Japanese Americans left their homes during World War Two, Dad decided to create the coolest invention ever. My brothers and I knew Dad's solar-powered machine would be amazing. We just had no idea that Dad was about to send us on a breathtaking adventure through history!

After Benson, O'Malley, and I returned from our trip to the Granada Relocation Center, Dad started working on the solar-powered history machine to make it better than ever. It took us awhile to decide where our next adventure would take us, but finally my brothers and I settled on exploring some family history from way back in the 1600s!

You can imagine how thrilled Benson, O'Malley, and I all are when Grandma Lucy leaves her goat farm in Washington and heads up north for an Alaskan vacation. But what are the mysterious books she is carrying inside her locked suitcase? Benson decides to find out for himself, but by the time the rest of us go after him in Dad's solar-powered history machine, Benson is lost somewhere in war-torn China.
