Phantom Frost

He's on a quest to find himself before they do. Shivurr remembers little before the Bodhi Institute, the secret government installation where he's been held and studied like a lab rat for the past decade. It hasn't been all bad, though, for a soda-pop-loving sci-fi fanboy, especially in 1983. He's got all the TV, movies and arcade games he could ever want. But lately, flashes of his forgotten past have invaded his dreams: Visions of an ancient chamber where the mysteries of his origin may finally be resolved.

Harland hasn’t had a week this bad since his time in the CIA. The Bodhi Group’s biggest secret, Shivurr (code name Winterboy), escaped custody a few days ago. All attempts at recovery have, so far, failed, and the search just got harder. Research sites studying ancient relics have come under attack by molten life-forms, hurling fire. No one seems to have a clue what they want or where they’re coming from, and the things aren’t talking. Whatever they’re after, it’s Harland’s job to end their rampage…or die trying.

After a week on the run, relaxing beachside is the closest thing to paradise that Shivurr can remember. Sunshine’s harsh for snow-based life forms, but he loves the ocean view. Besides, he’s got cold drinks, a hat full of his stolen memories, and more importantly—he’s free. Free of experiments. Free of the Institute. Free of the Bodhi Group.
