Spellcasters Spy Academy

A surly, hot wizard. A dangerous calling. A curse killing off students. I’ve dreamed of attending Spellcasters Spy Academy for as long as I can remember. So, imagine my surprise when I get there and discover it’s not the academic utopia I imagined. This place is dangerous as hell. And, I don’t mean the classes or the Samhain Trials, though those aren’t a cakewalk. They say the students in the Culling year - my year - are cursed. Someone, or maybe something, is picking us off, one by one.

The demon who scarred my face is dead. But my nightmare lives on. I’m back in Portland, the city of my attack, and things just keep getting weirder. And not in the quirky way this place is known for. My mentor is sensing strange energies, and when we investigate, demons appear. And my scars react too. I’m convinced the reaction is all in my mind, PTSD from coming face-to-face with a general of Hell. With the help of my friends, I do my best to work through it. Because what I should really be concerned about is how demons are crossing into the human realm more frequently.

Now that I’m participating in the Spy Games - a dangerous competition between magical spy academies - I’ve increased the risk of the queen’s minions finding and dragging me to the depths of the underworld. In fact, with each passing Spy Game event, it becomes more obvious exactly why the queen wants me. Most of the time my studies, relationships, and the tournament keep the looming threat of abduction out my mind. But when someone I love is taken by the demons, I must act. And face the powerful queen of Hell.

Demons are taking over our world. To stop them, I need to embrace the black magic inside me. I hate the idea. And yet, I realize just how powerful the darkness can be. That it is probably the only thing standing between failure and success. And keeping those I love alive. Can I master the demon magic running through my veins? Or will I succumb to the darkness? What's more, if I fall, will the world fall with me?
