A group calling itself The Divine Essence Discovery Evangelists plans to expand its operations when it purchases The Tall Pines Ranch in the small Oklahoma town of Colby. The citizens are up in arms to prevent what they’re calling a cult from ruining their quaint little town. Someone must stop the cult at all cost. Enter - “The Widower’s Club”, four comical but loveable elderly gentlemen, inseparable friends, who develop a plan to stop the cult in its tracks.

Addie Spencer’s mother, Holly Spencer is dying of cancer. In the final moments of her life, 48-year-old Holly confesses a terrible secret to her daughter. A secret so shocking, it will cause Addie to question her very own existence. But before she can finish telling Addie the whole story, she dies, leaving 23-year-old Addie to begin a search for the truth.

Ted Jacobs, his wife Marilyn, and their seven-year-old daughter Caroline are living what appears to be normal lives in the small Oklahoma town of Colby. On a hot summer evening, the Jacobs family disappear into the mountainous area not far from Colby, leaving behind a set of bewildering clues. An all-out search for the Jacobs family uncovers still more bizarre elements that raise the question, did the Jacobs disappear on their own accord, or is something more sinister at work?
