DL Moody (1837-1899) was an American evangelist and publisher who founded the Moody Church, Moody Bible Institute, and Moody Publishers. Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951) was a Canadian-American Bible teacher, preacher, theologian, pastor, and author. Ira Sankey (1840-1908), known as The Sweet Singer of Methodism, was an American gospel singer and composer, associated with evangelist DL Moody.

Gypsy Smith (1860-1947) was an evangelist who made over 40 evangelistic trips abroad to such countries as the United States, Australia, and South Africa. J. Wilbur Chapman (1859-1918), a Presbyterian, had great success in four pastorates, but is best remembered as a powerful evangelist. William Booth (1829-1912) was a British Methodist preacher who founded The Salvation Army.

George W. Truett (May 6, 1867 - July 7, 1944) was an American clergyman who was the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, TX, from 1897 until 1944, and the president of the Southern Baptist Convention from 1927 to 1929. He became one of the most famous Southern Baptist preachers and writers of his era. William Ashley "Billy" Sunday (November 19, 1862 - November 6, 1935) was a popular outfielder in baseball's National League from 1883 to 1890, who later became a celebrated and influential American evangelist.
