Ruby Woods has been a wife, mother, animal enthusiast, and dog trainer for over 25 years. She’s spent her life working with all kinds of animals, but has a true love for harnessing a dog’s obedience, agility, herding, and nose work. Ruby believes that when someone gets a canine friend, they know their beloved pet won't stay with them forever. And yet, we still choose to add the companion to the family, knowing the pain we are going to suffer at the end will still somehow be well worth it. When it comes to the pet losses Ruby has experienced over her life, she loves the anonymous quote: "It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog that comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough all the components of my heart will be dog & I will become as generous and loving as they are."
