Isobel Ross was born to Scottish parents on a farm in Northumberland, just inside the English border. Although her family made many moves during her childhood, Isobel was educated at a Scottish co-ed boarding school. She has lived for most of her adult life in the East Midlands. Isobel spent the majority of her working years as an education adviser but has always written fiction: novels, poetry and short stories. She attended many classes, workshops and writing groups to improve her craft. ‘Crash’ is Isobel’s debut novel in the genre of domestic suspense and will be published by Bloodhound Books in July 2024. She has also written a memoir, ‘Almost Boys: The Psychology of Co-Ed Boarding in the 1960s.’
