advice on a wide variety of topics
it’s called “let that shit go” but the book covers a lot of stuff within this heading. at parts i was bored but other parts seemed more applicable. I guess it depends what you’re working on. The F bombs seemed out of place to me. I’m not anti-swearing whatsoever but they didn’t fit the tone of the book or maybe the narrator. Wasn’t offensive, just odd.

The book to get you though the pandemic
I first read this masterpiece when it when it was released in paperback. It was the mental health healing book I had been searching for since losing my parents decades ago.
When the Audio book was released in January 2020, I immediately grabbed a copy in Audible, not realizing it would become my new mental health and mindfulness companion through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nina and Kate are able to provide actionable ways to overcome our anxieties and depression that are rooted deep. I personally liked how real they are and the engaging language used to convey their messages.
I have recommended this book to so many and will continue to do for years to come. The audio book is even that much more intimate, getting to hear it straight from each author’s own voice.

Life-changing
After a devastating break-up w/ my life partner, I was feeling lost and overwhelmed with a range of emotions. So I decided to start listening to audiobooks/podcasts.
The word self-love was bouncing around in my head ever since my sister told me that I need to learn to love myself more. At first, I was appalled by my sister’s advice. What do you mean I don’t love myself? Of course I do!
But then I listened to this book and a rude awakening occurred to me. I actually do not have a firm grasp of what self-love truly means. I’ve been neglecting myself. Been holding myself up to a ridiculous standard to the point of exhaustion. I’ve been harboring pain. I’ve been stretching myself thin trying to take care of everyone but me! The list goes on. It was then that I realized that if I want to be truly happy, I NEED TO CHANGE. This book gave me the tools I needed to get started. My biggest regret is that I didn’t find this book sooner. I am forever changed by it and very grateful. Thank you!
