I’ve had many life experiences that have intersected. My most current project is authoring a middle grades novel, titled Edith the Empath. Graduated from Cal State Dominquez Hills with a Masters in Educational Technology and from Cal State Northridge with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies. Founder of Eddywhere, a cooperative of creative consultants and content creators specializing in educational integration. Provided learning opportunities for humans ages 2-82. Years of experience in educational theory and pedagogy, working with hundreds of schools throughout the country, some as a teacher and others as a consultant or educational coach. Provided many workshops and presentations in education (including higher ed), health services, and self-help. These workshops and presentations have highlighted the top research in literacy, health literacy, global literacy, technology integration, curriculum, and mindfulness. Instrumental in start-up of five schools, two charter, two pilot, and one public school in Southern California. 30+ years working with K-12 schools in the area of early and secondary literacy. In 2017 was the lead designer for an innovative project called the World of Work. In 2020 lead curriculum developer for the Mindful Leaders Project in collaboration with the University of Laverne. An innovative project to introduce mindfulness into K-12 school environments. Certified Enneagram coach and a certified Mindfulness coach. And I am an Empath. My next goal is to maximize my knowledge of literacy and mindfulness to inspire readers to become better readers and better readers of themselves.
