Anna Wilson writes for adults and children. Her memoir, A Place for Everything, about her mother's late diagnosis of autism at the age of 72, is published by HarperCollins. It featured on Woman's Hour on BBC Radio 4 and has been described as a "startlingly beautiful and searingly honest" account. Anna has also written and published 50 picture books, short stories, poems and young fiction and non-fiction series for children. Her latest fiction series is Vlad the World’s Worst Vampire - a comedy for confident young readers. Vlad has been translated into thirteen languages and is also published in the United States. The series is also available in audio. Her latest picture book is Be Back Soon, illustrated by the award-winning Jenny Bloomfield. It is a story of human migration and connection twinned with facts about swallow migration. The Wide, Wide Sea is a best-selling picture book about our relationship with and responsibilities to the ocean. This is published in conjunction with the National Trust. It is also published by Nosy Crow US. Grandpa and the Kingfisher, illustrated by award-winning illustrator Sarah Massini is a story which deals with death, grief and the circle of life. It has been translated into ten languages and has been published by Nosy Crow US. Anna's next non-fiction book for Nosy Crow and the National Trust is a large-format four-colour gift book about the natural world through the seasons. A Story of the Seasons is illustrated by Carolina Rabei. Her latest fiction title is Paddington in Peru - the novelisation of the latest movie of the same name. As well as writing, Anna is a freelance editor, tutor and coach for the HarperCollins Author Academy, The London Writers' Salon and the Arvon Foundation. She is also a Royal Literary Fund Fellow based in Cornwall. She has an article published in The Children's Writers' and Artists' Yearbook which is updated every year.
