Annette Vendryes Leach is a New York City author, publisher, and entrepreneur who started out as a Madison Avenue advertising copywriter. She wrote award-winning magazine, radio, and TV ads for clients from Soda to the CIA. After a successful career that saw her rise to Creative Director, she decided to follow her true passion for books and fiction writing. Annette founded the pioneering Black Literary Club, the first major book club devoted to African American, African, and Caribbean literature. Her membership in writers' workshops led her to publish a short story and begin writing her first novel, Song of the Shaman. With a lifelong interest in spiritual truths, Annette completed a three-year course in Kriya Yoga from the Self-Realization Fellowship, which influenced her writing. She is a graduate of The New School, majoring in Creative Writing and Comparative Religion. As a publishing consultant, Annette provides services for authors and publishers.
