Aug played in the bands Aug Stone & The Love Conspiracy, H Bird, The Soft Close-Ups, Lifestyle, and Rockets Burst From The Streetlamps. He now performs comedy as Young Southpaw, described by popbollocks.com as "leading listeners on a surreal journey through doors they didn't even know existed, into a highly original, deeply funny land of pop culture confusion". Young Southpaw's 'The Lost Archimedes' album, which Stone considers his masterpiece, was released in May 2020.
