About Me Hello, My name is Barry, and I am a Pastor, Church-Planter, Singer, Songwriter, Author, Natural Gardener, Golfer, Fisherman, and too many other interests to recount. I have been in the ministry for 42 years. I have been a Church-planter for the last 25 years. My heart is to teach the Bible in terms that anyone can understand and eventually embrace. I believe, if me and we (the church) will stay out of the way and let folks get a good look at Jesus, they will, in time come to Him. John 12:32 “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”” I don’t believe that historically the church has been very good at letting people get a good look at Jesus. Just so you know I am not catholic, I am Reformed , but I am not a Calvinist. I am not an Arminian, or Pentecostal. I have friends who belong to each of those camps, but I tend to stay in a very middle place between them all. That may seem to be a hard thing to do, but it is not. I major on the first 350 or so years of Christianity. In my world, about 400 AD was where things started getting more complicated. And from there forward Christianity requires a pretty extensive explanation. And perhaps, even multiple apologies. I think we have complicated some things that God intended to be pretty simple. God loves you, just as you are but He won’t let you stay that way. He has a plan for your life that is better than anything you could ever manage on your own. I am sorry we (the church) have made it so difficult for people to see the simple truths about who God is. My heart’s desire is to simply know what God meant when He spoke about Himself, in His Word. I believe God’s Word is perfect and exactly what He meant to say. We, as humanity, have made just about every mistake possible to violate and invalidate His Word and still it is changing lives around the world today. He is still changing my life. Every day He is changing my life. I write a lot. I just haven’t published a lot until now. Some current titles that will be published in the next year or so? God’s True New World Order Part 1 Gone.
