C.A. Blaney is trained in both the arts and the sciences. Properly-behaved Scientists label Blaney as 'unashamedly creative', while Artists say Blaney is 'dang scientific.' The truth is, a few souls are happily BOTH, Blaney being one of them. C. A. Blaney's first published story, 'The Trouble With Teleportation,' was inspired by the Harry Potter series as well as by scientific studies on the physics of teleportation and time travel. Subsequent juvenile sci-fi/fantasy books by C.A. Blaney include the following: 1. 'Guardian's of the Blue Planet' -- Inspired by 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy,' this story tells how a misfit teenager, Annie, came to find out she was 'sent' to Earth from a faraway galaxy, and WHY; 2. An ongoing comic book called 'Time in a Bottle' about a teenaged boy alien who searches the Universe for the 'perfect babe', and finds her on... can you guess... Earth. But she isn't all that impressed. Not at first, anyway... ...and more! Nonfiction: Blaney, a trained Reiki master, wrote 'Reiki for Angles,' which discusses the scientific theory behind 'hands-on-healing.' Other nonfiction publications include scientific book chapters, peer-reviewed technical publications, and 26 US Patents. Originally from Texas, Blaney currently lives out of a very large suitcase, roaming the wild west in search of artistic landscapes filled with mystical creatures to inspire yet more wild fantasy stories for your amusement! It may or may not interest you to know that Blaney comes from a family of renowned performers, inventors, gold medalists, and botanists (being a proud decendant of Johnny Appleseed).
