Over a career spanning more than four decades, Carlene Hill Byron has helped people on five continents tell their stories so they reach just the right audiences. As editor of New England Church Life and The New England Christian, she told the stories of Christians from more than 60 different denominations or associations. She has worked as a daily newspaper journalist, in marketing communications for an engineering firm and a technology startup, as an SEO writer for a global marketplace, and as development officer for disability and social services nonprofits. As a Spirit Media Angel Writer and editor, she supports people from all walks of life in achieving their publishing dreams. Her first book, Not Quite Fine: Mental Health, Faith, and Showing Up for One Another (2021) encourages churches to support mental health by helping people find meaning, belonging, purpose, value and hope. Her next books dive deep into the Old and New Testaments to uncover God’s direct guidance for care of our environment and daily living. She is active in her local church, enjoys learning to square dance, tends her neighborhood’s gardens, and is an avid amateur baker who has made 21 wedding cakes and annually produces more than 30 dozen Christmas cookies.
