Catherine De Lasa was born in Caen, France. After studies in Literature, she pursued her passion of writing poems, tales and stories for children. After working as librarian for the publishing company Hachette, and then as editor for Pomme d'Api, she left the professional life to focus exclusively on children's literature. In 1997 she created the series Oscar with Pascale Gallimard. Her works have since then been published by Gallimard, Nathan and Fleurus, but she also writes for the youth press. Catherine De Lasa's work is influenced by her spiritual worldview, based on tolerance, respect for others and non-violence. This spirit informs all her poems and tales.
