Biography D. L. Cocchio was born and raised in New Jersey and taught elementary school for many years. She has enjoyed writing stories since childhood and enjoys reading, writing, and crafts. Debbie is fascinated by all mystical and magical things and writes them into many of her stories. She is the author of two books in the Amulet Series, one non-fiction YA/adult, and has written a YA Paranormal trilogy called the Psychic Circle Series. Her first novel, Be Careful What You Wish For, was published in 2003. Her second book, Magic by Moonlight (2011), So You Wanna Read Tarot (2012), and The Psychic Circle ~Souls Entwined was released in 2015 by Black Opal Books and re-published as Souls Entwined by Magic Moon Press in May 2022. Magic Like That (Book 2) was published in 2017, and the third book in the trilogy, Karma Like This was released in 2023. Cocchio has a degree in Psychology and a certificate in Education. She has been a Tarot teacher for over 30 years and is one of the lead investigators with a NJ-based ghost-hunting group - GSPS - Garden State Paranormal Society. Currently, the author has been appearing at many Northern NJ Libraries and Bookstores participating in various Book Talks with fellow authors.
