Hello there! I'm Deb Lyon, author of Timewaif & The Roman Road, the first of The Timewaif Chronicles. In this book, Tim falls back through an enchanted hopscotch board to Roman Cumbria under the rule of Emperor Hadrian where he embarks on a series of challenges and adventures more daunting than he could have ever imagined. And learns quite a lot about himself on the way! I live in (and write about) the stunning Lake District. I've got five children in my lovely blended family, four dogs and a trio of guinea pigs so am pretty busy outside of writing, feeding and watering them. We also run a holiday let business near Windermere called The Heaning Estate. I love walking up the fells here and am working hard to complete the famous Wainwrights, 214 mountains described in a series of beautifully illustrated books. We've bagged 160 so far. I've taken a Creative Writing Masters at Lancaster University, and before that a degree in English & French Literature - so it's fair to say books are pretty important to me as I'm sure they are to you. I hope you enjoy the first of Tim's adventures and there will be more!
