Della Ross Ferreri is a children’s writer and recently retired teacher. She is the author of delightful picture books, board books and beginning readers. Her upcoming picture book is called THE MOUSE BUFFET from Sleeping Bear Press. It's a fun rhyming story about a family of sneaky mice who celebrate Christmas with a feast—and a new friend—of their own. Look for THE MOUSE BUFFET in the fall of 2025. Della's other books include: GOD BLESSES ME, an engaging and sweetly-illustrated lift-the-flap board book for toddlers, PRECIOUS BABY, a sweet board book for new parents to share with their baby, and HUGGLE WUGGLE, BEDTIME SNUGGLE, a playful daddy-daughter bedtime board book. In addition, Della's stories and poems have appeared in children’s magazines such as Highlights High Five, Highlights Hello, Ladybug, Babybug and Clubhouse Jr. As a co-founder of CWHV – Children’s Writers of the Hudson Valley – she helps organize local writing workshops and conferences. She also enjoys presenting author visits for pre-K to grade 2 students at elementary schools. Della lives in the beautiful Hudson Valley in New York with her husband. In addition to writing, Della enjoys reading, movies, traveling, disc golf, leisurely walks and cheering for her family at running races.
