Durenda has been married to Darryl for 34 years. He wanted two children and she wanted ten. They compromised at eight. Their kids were born between 1991 and 2004. She chose to home educate her children when her first one reached preschool and has never looked back. Now, with over 25 years of experience, she has taught each of her children through high school with only one left to graduate. Five of her children are married and she has eleven grandchildren who are also being homeschooled. During her years of experience in home education, she’s seen first-hand how kids learn naturally and effectively when they are given time and space along with encouragement to trust their own learning processes. Durenda takes this hard-earned wisdom and mentors moms, encouraging them to trust their God-given instincts when it comes to raising and teaching their children.
