Fred Andersen is an author of noir mysteries and contemporary thrillers. "Lily Torrence" (2016) and "Pamela Carr" (2020) are both set in a nightmarish post-WW2 Hollywood where success can cost you everything you hold dear. “Classic drama with modern influences . . . a writing style that flows effortlessly” (Readers’ Favorite). "Line in the Sand" (2018) is a contemporary thriller told from both sides of the US-Mex border, and features a multi-cultural Southwestern and norteño cast. Fred’s articles and stories have appeared in American Heritage, Nautilus Engine and elsewhere and coming up in November, in Close 2 the Bone mystery and suspense magazine. He lives in Arizona and travels often (often through books).
