Hi. I'm Haru, thank you for visiting me here. I'm a global nomad and sociolinguist who loves thinking and writing about how people talk and listen across cultures. Growing up, Japan was my anchor so I have written much about communicating in Japanese, which feels so different from communicating in English. I currently live in London where I've been writing a new book on the fourteen channels of listening which we use to understand people and the world around us every day.
