Herb Brown, is the author of two novels: Presumption of Guilt (1991, 1992 paperback) reached number 10 on Doubleday’s weekly list, and Shadows of Doubt (1994), was a selection of The Literary Guild. His short play, Power of God, won a competition and was produced by CATCO in 2002. His play, You’re My Boy,’was produced by CATCO in 2005 and named outstanding new work in Central Ohio. The Final Table, produced by CATCO in 2015, was nominated for outstanding work of art by the Greater Columbus Arts Council. Henry Ford’s Model E was produced by the Contemporary Arts Theater (CATCO) )in 2017. The Duchess (2022), The Price of Power(2023) and Drums of War (2024) were plays produced by the Abbey Theater in Dublin, Ohio. ‘Darkness Lies In Wait’, a psychological suspense novel was published in June of 2024 He holds a BA from Denison and a JD from Michigan Law School, where he was an Assistant Editor of The Michigan Law Review. He was elected a Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court in 1986.
