This was my first and only book. There are many parts which are most engaging, while others may be markedly enthusiastic and exciting. However, each reader or listener will identify with one, several or all areas of the book; or perhaps a good read. I was a "SLAVE"! I was supposed to be a boy which would have made 9 boys. My Papa had a 1600+ acre plantation, and wanted to have as many boys as he could get. However, he still had to hire 60+ workers and had the family of "9" boys. However, I was a girl but that didn't matter. I was a boy as far as he was concerned and worked in the fields from 4 a.m. until just before dark. After the field work, each had at least 3 cows to milk. All of this helped to feed the hired help as well as the family of 12. My Mama begged for my help to many times. He kept me in the fields to work. I never learned to cook, sew, neither iron nor any of the many issues should a girl know. Needless to say, growing up was as a boy was tolerable until the "young lady" time came along. I have many contacts through social media to promote not only myself, but for those who have given me encouragement, directions and incentives to make the book more marketable worldwide. This was primarily through the community networks by Amazon, Create Space, WordPress, as well as ACX. I excelled in sports in high school and college. I was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers Sorority. I was a recognized high school mathematics teacher and assistant principal. I was totally engaged as an enthusiastic teacher. I believed that any student could learn anything if his or her abilities were tapped and that was my goal for each student. Each year their abilities improved far beyond any previous scores. They were challenged and were enthusiastic about learning. I am shy, yet tenable and reserved. I work out enthusiastically each day. I live at "THE GABLES OF WOLF CREEK" in a senior community in Macon, GA. Some of my activities since retirement are: playing bridge, fencing, biking, white-water kayaking, sea-kayaking, and canoeing with my daughter. I was challenged at surfing, while visiting my son, and found the desire contagious. I enjoy gardening, wood-working, and painting. I also enjoy auto mechanics, small engine repair as well as operating heavy equipment and the challenge which it offered. I am 81 years, and began piano lessons three years ago; keeping my knowledge-based sensibility. My determination and incentive for continued learning, staying in good shape, health, and faith never ceases.
