James Law is the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Gonzales, Louisiana, where he has served for almost 30 years while also overseeing an initiative to bring accredited theological education to pastors in East Asia. He attended the University of Kentucky where he received a B.A. in Business Administration (1988) and also played for the Wildcats’ baseball team. He earned both the M. Div. (1991) and Ph.D. (1994) degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Gwynne, have six children and are enjoying an ever-growing number of grandchildren. They live in Ascension parish, Louisiana.
