James Stout is a writer who lives in Cary, North Carolina. He lives with his wife, Robyn, a fantastic friend and editor. His son is a student at NC State University and his daughter goes to high school in Cary. He teaches English at Salem Middle School in Apex, where he also coaches soccer and works with amazing people! Mr. Stout first discovered fantasy early in his childhood and quickly fell in love with the genre. He discovered J.R.R Tolkien and C.S. Lewis at a very young age and spent a good deal of time playing Dungeons & Dragons with his friends in high school. He is a big fan of George R. R. Martin, and--like the rest of the world--is wondering if or when Martin will ever finish his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Mr. Stout published the first book of his Glowstones trilogy on October 6, 2023. Book 2 (Prophecies and Pain) was published February 4, 2024. The third and final book of the trilogy should be out before the summer of 2024.
