At 16 I wrote political poetry for the Young Socialist newspaper under the encouragement of my English teacher. I departed my Marxist politics and plunged into the peak of Thatcherism. Worked for global companies in sales at a very young age, well hey I could tell a believable story! Repeatedly sacked for petty embezzlement and double-dealing. I worked with TV evangelists in Tennessee. Disgusted. I found the Wild West of double glazing suited my contrarian nature. I spent 35 years in double glazing and had my own TV show in the early noughties, The Armstrongs. where I was permitted to make everything up and they believed it was real, how lovely. I lived in France for many years, got divorced, lived alone in France and then on a narrowboat for 2 years where I lived with a wandering Buddhist monk. Now I live with my multiple personalities by the sea in Devon and sometimes in Coventry. I’ve written a children's book for my son, two cycling books, and co-authored a book that went with the TV series. The Seduction of an English Twat Magnet is my first novel.
